Practicing Honor, Day by Day 43

"For day after day they seek me out; they seem eager to know my ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right and has not forsaken the commands of its God. They ask me for just decisions..." Isaiah 58:2

Today, let's examine our hearts again.

Are we all that we seem to be or are we putting on a show?

As individuals, are we pretending to know God while our private lives reflect something far different?

As a nation, are we trying to fool ourselves?

We have strayed from His commands and then we ask His to bless us

What is wrong with this picture?

Heavenly Father, we run to you today. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is so clear, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Teach us how to be humble. We choose to seek Your face today and we determine to turn from our selfish desires and wickedness. We trust You to hear us, to forgive us and to heal us!
