“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
Today, ask yourself some tough questions.
Are you part of a church body?
If not, why?
Have you been wounded, betrayed or set aside by a church?
Are you willing to trust God to lead you to a body where you can experience healing, acceptance and be used for His glory?
If you attend a church, do you just slip in and slip out, unwilling to connect or relate to others?
If so, are you willing to trust God to give you relationships that honor Him and encourage you to grow in your walk with Him?
We all need to be encouraged and spurred on.
Ask God to show you a church that will minister to your heart and release you to the calling He’s placed on your life.
Heavenly Father, cleanse Your body, heal Your church. Help us to dig deep into Your word and understand what Your design is for a church. You call us to encourage each other and to spend time together so that we will have strength for the days ahead. I trust You to heal my heart from the wounds of the past and I choose to trust You to lead me to a body where I can grow in You.
